Founder Morihei Ueshiba

Aikido is a modern martial art founded by the founder, Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969), after mastering the mysteries of traditional Japanese martial arts and undergoing rigorous spiritual training.

There are no competitions in Aikido (except for some groups). Practice is the core of Aikido. We mainly do kata practice in pairs.

In practice, there are two roles: tori and uke.

Uke's attacks can be broadly divided into two types: strike attacks and attacks that grab the wrist or clothing. Kata used in tori include solidification techniques and throwing techniques.

Through kata, you will learn the reason, and you will be able to use your body rationally without being conscious of it.

The Founder, Morihei Ueshiba, said as a rule for practicing Aikido, ``It is necessary to practice in a pleasant manner at all times.'' We are also trying to have a pleasant practice that stretches each other.
